Town of Landis Ordinance Citations

Town ordinance citations, such as noise ordinance and alarm ordinance violations, must be paid at the Landis Town Hall within the time specified on the face of the citation.  If paid promptly, ordinance citations will not appear on your criminal record, drivers license history, or affect your insurance.

If ordinance citations are not paid in the time allotted, a criminal summons may be issued against the defendant. A summons will require the defendant to appear in Rowan County District Court.  Once a criminal summons is issued, the charge will appear in your criminal record with the NC Administrative Office of the Courts and may appear on your drivers license and/or insurance depending upon the offense for which you were cited.  Upon conviction, the defendant may also be responsible for the payment of all applicable court costs.
