The Town of Landis is once again holding a photography workshop on Saturday, October 16th, 2010 from 9:30a to 12:00p. In order to attend, you will need to fill out the sign up sheet below and return it to Debbie Goodman at City Hall no later than 4:30p on Monday, October 11th, 2010.

The workshop will be held at Landis City Hall Council Chambers, located at 312 South Main Street, Landis, North Carolina 28088.

The cost of the workshop is $20.00.

Both a beginner and intermediate workshop will be offered, please indicate on the sign-up sheet which you would like to attend.

Regular Board of Aldermen Meeting - September

The Regular Board Meeting of the Landis Board of Aldermen will be held Monday, September 13th, 2010 at 7:00pm at 312 South Main Street. The date was changed due to the Labor Day Holiday.

2ND ANNUAL SURVIVORS RUN/WALK RACE

On Saturday, October 9th, 2010 the Landis Fire Department will be sponsoring the 2nd annual Cancer Survivors Race/Walk. Registration begins at 7:30a the morning of, with the race beginning at 9:00a.

This year we will feature the Decateur Street Beat, a Dixieland-style band. The band is scheduled to play from 10:00a-12:00p and we encourage all participants to stay and enjoy the festivities.

The Fire Department will also be serving hotdogs, with all the trimmings, following the race.

UPTOWN TRICK OR TREAT NIGHT - 5:30pm-7:30pm

On Saturday, October 30th, 2010 from 5:30p to 7:30p come join us in downtown Landis for a night of candy, fun and food. There will be live music, hotdogs, popcorn and treats for the kids. There will also be firepits available to make s'mores.

This is a family event and will take place on Central Avenue in the vincinity of the Police Station.

More information will be posted as it becomes availble.
