Regional Stormwater Partnership

 

A regional stormwater partnership was created between Centralina Council of Governments and a number of communities incluidng the Town of Landis to promote stormwater awareness and to assist communities in initiating and implementing their stormwater programs.  

As a part of that partnership Channel 36 WCNC established a "WaterWise" program which has expanded to a regional level to encourage ownership and greater engagement by communities outside of the Charlotte/Mecklenburg area.  This program is aired on a local television station, with segments that have been developed and presented by the station's on air meteorologist.  A website has also been created where citizens can find out more about stormwater issues.
