- The public hearing concerning the proposed graffiti ordinance for the Town of Landis was held at Monday's Regular Board meeting. Several citizens spoke out in opposition of the proposed ordinance as it was written. After discussion, the Board voted to table the matter until further research and study could be carried out.

- Landis Fire Department Presents Wii Game to Little Boy

- On Thursday, October 1st, 2009, the Landis Fire Department paid a visit to Brenners Childrens Hospital in Winston Salem. The visit wasn't to respond to a fire or any other type of emergency; it was to deliver a Wii game to a little boy who had been badly burned in an accident.

- First National Night Out in Landis

- On Tuesday, August 4th, 2009 the Landis Police Department, working with other Town Departments and volunteers, hosted its first National Night Out in downtown Landis. The event was a huge success and everyone involved had a blast. We look forward to next year's National Night Out and would like to think everyone for their help and support.
