Living in Landis

Nestled in the Piedmont of North Carolina, Landis has a population of 3712 as of the 2021 Census. With an emphasis on outdoor adventure, Landis is proud to offer a wide variety of recreational activities that will allow citizens to create everlasting memories with their families. Each year citizens enjoy town-sponsored events that include; car shows, Easter egg hunts, summer movie showings, farmer’s markets, fall festivals, and Christmas festivities. Citizens can enjoy a day in the sun, play Disc Golf, fish, kayak, or go camping at Lake Corriher Wilderness Park. During the summer months, the town pool is open for a refreshing dip with family and friends.

The Town of Landis encourages citizens to be active in the community through volunteering for town committees and boards. Currently, the town is accepting applications for the Planning Board/Board of Adjustment and Passive Park Blue Ribbon Committee. Click here for an application.

Over the past few years, due largely in part to the establishment of the NC Research Campus, the Town of Landis has seen a growth in housing. Landis offers a variety of residential communities and housing opportunities which range from starter homes to those looking for a nice, quiet place to retire.
